बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री व मॉडल नूपुर मेहता ने द संडे टाइम्स को कानूनी नोटिस भेजने का फैसला किया है। ब्रिटिश अखबार ने उन पर मैच फिक्सिंग में लिप्त होने का आरोप लगाया था। उन्होंने दीवानी और आपराधिक मानहानि का दावा पेश करने के विकल्प भी खुले रखे हैं।
नूपुर के वकील गौरांग कांत ने कहा, हम अखबार को कानूनी नोटिस भेज रहे हैं और देखेंगे कि हमें किस तरह का जवाब मिलता है। इसके बाद हम आगे की कार्रवाई करेंगे और एक पखवाड़े के अंदर दीवानी और आपराधिक मानहानि का मामला दायर करेंगे। नूपुर तब सुर्खियों में आई, जब मैच फिक्सिंग मामलों में उनका नाम सामने आया। वह बॉलीवुड की दो फिल्मों में काम कर चुकी हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि फिक्सिंग की खबर में अखबार ने जो फोटो इस्तेमाल की थी, वह उनकी थी।

मुंबई। अंतरराष्ट्रीय महाशतक जमाने वाले महान बल्लेबाज सचिन तेंदुलकर का पांव के अंगूठे में चोट के कारण चार अप्रैल से शुरू होने जा रही इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग [आईपीएल] में खेलना संदिग्ध है। तेंदुलकर एक बार फिर दर्द कर रही अपनी चोट पर विशेषज्ञों से राय के लिए लंदन चले गए हैं। हालांकि मुंबई इंडियंस का कहना है कि तेंदुलकर आईपीएल में जरूर खेलेंगे।
भारतीय क्रिकेट बोर्ड के सूत्रों ने बताया, 'हां सचिन तेंदुलकर अपने पांव के अंगूठे की चोट को दिखाने के लिए डाक्टर के पास लंदन गए हैं। सचिन के पैर के अंगूठे में काफी समय से दर्द था लेकिन वे लगातार खेलते रहे। यह अभी नहीं कहा जा सकता है कि वे कब वापस आएंगे। हो सकता है अंगूठे की सर्जरी की जरूरत पडे़।' इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग मुकाबले के पहले ही दिन सचिन तेंदुलकर की गत उपविजेता टीम मुंबई इंडियंस को चेन्नई में पिछले विजेता चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स से खेलना है। टीम के प्रवक्ता ने कहा, 'मैं दृढ़ता से कह सकता हूं कि सचिन तेंदुलकर [मुंबई इंडियंस के कप्तान] आईपीएल के लिए उपलब्ध रहेंगे। वह लंदन महज परामर्श के लिए गए हैं। 31 मार्च को उनके लौटने का कार्यक्रम है इसलिए किसी भी तरह के आपरेशन का सवाल ही नहीं उठता।' उन्होंने कहा, 'वह दो अप्रैल को चेन्नई में होने वाले शुभारंभ समारोह में उपलब्ध रहेंगे। साथ ही गत चैंपियन चेन्नई के साथ होने वाले टूर्नामेंट के पहले मैच में भी खेलेंगे।'
